CCCII Resource Introduction

The Common Core Catholic Identity Initiative is always about BOTH/AND.  That is, CCCII strives to assist Catholic educators in developing excellent school-based curriculum that faithfully implements the Common Core Standards AND effectively integrates elements of Catholic Identity with honesty and integrity.  The Catholic identity elements must fit the ELA Unit; they cannot be an add-on that “shoves” Catholic values and beliefs into content where it doesn’t work.  The resources in Section Two assist Catholic educators with finding and making authentic connections between ELA topics/themes and Catholic beliefs, values, teaching, tradition.  These resources will expand greatly as this initiative continues.
